P. Flinn Schanuel2 May 2024 Some times , some days , some hours, or even some phone calls can result in a bad encounter with this facility, but overall CID is a really good place that Hemet is lucky to have accessible in town. Be patient if you have to have a non-stat appointment scheduled, then don't miss it. It has many services available on site. Service dogs are allowed. Waiting rooms are clean, orderly, and have TV Plasmas set up. On my most recent visit to CID, I was scheduled to get biopsies on a mobile traveling unit (Dedicated Biopsy Services). I was hesitant, but the mobile unit was clean & well equipped. The technicians were excellent, the doctor was experienced & knowledgeable, and they were all polite, kind, informative, and professional. Although I don't recommend biopsies for fun, I do give this most recent experience an overall thumbs up. Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) offers unparalleled, detailed vascular imaging, making it an invaluable tool in modern diagnostic medicine.
Leveraging state-of-the-art CT technology, CTA provides high-resolution, three-dimensional images of blood vessels and tissues throughout the body.
This advanced imaging technique is particularly effective for diagnosing and evaluating vascular conditions, including aneurysms, blockages, and other abnormalities.
CTA’s ability to capture intricate vascular details is a critical advantage for patients and healthcare providers. By injecting a contrast dye into the bloodstream, CTA highlights the vascular system with remarkable clarity, allowing for precise visualization of veins, arteries, and capillaries—this level of detail aids in the early detection of cardiovascular diseases, enabling timely and targeted interventions.
The detailed images produced help physicians customize treatment plans with precision, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.
In addition to its diagnostic accuracy, CTA is recognized for its efficiency and patient comfort. The procedure is minimally invasive and typically completed within a short timeframe, reducing patients’ physical and emotional stress.
As a premier diagnostic imaging center serving Hemet and Murrieta, CA, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of care by harnessing CTA’s cutting-edge capabilities.

GOT QUESTIONS?
Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) is an advanced imaging procedure used to visualize the blood vessels in various parts of the body, including the brain, heart, lungs, and extremities. It involves the use of a CT scanner and a special contrast dye injected into the bloodstream to produce detailed, three-dimensional images of the vascular system.
A doctor may recommend a CTA scan to diagnose conditions affecting the blood vessels, such as aneurysms, blockages, clots, or other vascular abnormalities. It is also commonly used to assess the condition of the arteries prior to surgical procedures or to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments like stents or bypass grafts.
Preparation for a CTA scan typically involves fasting for a few hours before the procedure. Patients should inform the medical team of any allergies, particularly to contrast dye, and provide a full list of medications being taken. Additionally, patients may need to remove any metal objects or jewelry that could interfere with the imaging process.
During a CTA scan, the patient will lie on a table that slides into the CT scanner. A contrast dye will be administered through an intravenous (IV) line to highlight the blood vessels. The procedure is usually quick, taking about 10-30 minutes, and is generally painless. Patients may feel a warm sensation or a metallic taste in the mouth when the dye is injected.
While CTA scans are generally safe, there are some risks to take into account. The use of contrast dye can cause allergic reactions in some individuals, and patients with kidney problems may be at risk for contrast-induced nephropathy. Exposure to radiation is another concern, although the amount used in CTA is minimized as much as possible. It’s important to discuss these risks with the medical team to make sure the benefits outweigh any potential hazards.
