P. Flinn Schanuel2 May 2024 Some times , some days , some hours, or even some phone calls can result in a bad encounter with this facility, but overall CID is a really good place that Hemet is lucky to have accessible in town. Be patient if you have to have a non-stat appointment scheduled, then don't miss it. It has many services available on site. Service dogs are allowed. Waiting rooms are clean, orderly, and have TV Plasmas set up. On my most recent visit to CID, I was scheduled to get biopsies on a mobile traveling unit (Dedicated Biopsy Services). I was hesitant, but the mobile unit was clean & well equipped. The technicians were excellent, the doctor was experienced & knowledgeable, and they were all polite, kind, informative, and professional. Although I don't recommend biopsies for fun, I do give this most recent experience an overall thumbs up. Joint condition diagnosis is essential for understanding and managing musculoskeletal health. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Arthrography provides detailed insights into joint structures, allowing precise identification of abnormalities.
Using advanced imaging technology, this procedure involves injecting a contrast material into the joint space, followed by imaging techniques such as fluoroscopy, MRI, or CT scans. These detailed images allow medical professionals to accurately assess conditions like cartilage tears, ligament injuries, and joint capsule problems.
Arthrography’s diagnostic capabilities are especially helpful for patients experiencing unexplained joint pain or dysfunction. By showing the detailed anatomy of joints, this procedure helps identify joint pathologies that may not be visible through standard imaging techniques.
For example, minor cartilage lesions or ligament tears can be detected—often the causes of chronic pain and mobility issues. This level of detail is essential for creating a treatment plan for the patient’s specific needs, improving outcomes and quality of life.
Therapeutic Arthrography not only helps with diagnosis but also plays an important role in treatment. During the procedure, therapeutic agents such as steroids or anesthetics can be injected into the joint space, providing immediate relief from pain and inflammation.
This approach ensures patients receive both diagnostic clarity and therapeutic benefits in one session. Serving the Hemet, CA area, our advanced imaging technology ensures patients receive high-quality care and fast, effective treatment for joint conditions.
Diagnostic and therapeutic arthrography is an important medical imaging procedure that provides detailed insights and direct therapeutic benefits for joint-related conditions. This imaging technique involves injecting contrast material into the joint space, followed by imaging methods such as MRI, CT, or fluoroscopy.
The resulting high-resolution images provide excellent clarity in diagnosing a wide range of joint conditions, from ligament tears to cartilage degeneration, enabling more precise and effective treatment plans.
In addition to its diagnostic capabilities, arthrography plays an important role in therapeutic interventions. By identifying the exact location and nature of joint abnormalities, physicians can deliver targeted treatments directly to the affected area.
This can include giving medications such as corticosteroids or hyaluronic acid, which can relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and improve joint function.
The precision and effectiveness of these treatments are improved by the detailed images from arthrography, leading to better patient outcomes and faster recovery times.

GOT QUESTIONS?
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Arthrography is an imaging procedure used to evaluate and treat joint conditions. It involves injecting a contrast dye into the joint space to improve visibility of joint structures under imaging methods such as X-ray, MRI, or CT scans. This technique is helpful for diagnosing joint abnormalities and allowing targeted therapeutic interventions.
Arthrography can help diagnose many joint conditions, including tears in the ligaments, tendons, or cartilage, joint degeneration, infections, and unexplained joint pain. It is especially useful for evaluating complex joints such as the shoulder, hip, knee, and wrist.
Preparation for an arthrography procedure involves telling your doctor about any medications you are taking and any allergies, especially to contrast dye or iodine. You may be asked to avoid eating or drinking for a few hours before the procedure. It is also important to follow any specific instructions from your healthcare provider to ensure the best results.
During the procedure, you will be positioned so the radiologist can access the joint being examined. A local anesthetic may be given to numb the area. The radiologist will then inject the contrast dye into the joint space. You may be asked to move the joint to spread the dye evenly. Imaging will be done to take detailed images of the joint. The procedure typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes.
Arthrography is generally safe, but like any medical procedure, it has some risks. Possible side effects include discomfort or swelling at the injection site, allergic reactions to the contrast dye, and very rarely, infection or bleeding within the joint. Your radiologist will discuss any potential risks with you before the procedure and take steps to minimize them.
